The Tea Room

Relaxations Tea Room has a unique style. We import the highest tea quality from private estates. The finest quality is finally offered to you in a friendly and open environment. At Relaxations you will find and learn as much as you want about this fine tea plant (Camellia Sinensis).

Our present selection offers a wide variety of Assam, Darjeeling, Rooibos, Ceylon and Naturally flavored teas. Our unique clear glass European infusers will let you experience the wonderful world of tea infusion.

One cup can be re-infused up to 4 times. 4 oz of tea will infuse at least 60 cups of tea.

Relaxations tea grading is directly based on the exclusivity of the tea, it's estate origin, the reputation of the estate and the month the leaves were harvested. Every year the tea from an estate will be different, so it is our passion and responsibility to investigate in order to bring you the best fresh tea available on the market at different times of the year.

Tea Grading

A:

Rare Teas. These teas are harvested only a few days per year making them very hard to get here in the US and they are priced according to their availability.

B:

Are teas that have been graded SFTGFOP, FTGFOP, or TGFOP by the international grading tea council. For more detail on how tea is graded please consult the internet or specialized books or ask our staff. In a nut shell these gradings are giving only to the teas that have been produced by harvesting only the last 2 leaves and the flower bud guaranteeing the best quality and freshness.

C:
These teas are less rare but their complex blend and natural flavoring process makes them unique and still more expensive than any type of pre-packed tea on the market.

Pricing:

Tea type A: $12.50 per 4 oz.

 

Tea type B: $10.50 per 4 oz.

 

Tea type C: $8.50 per 4 oz.


Darjeeling

One of the most interesting teas, growing on the southern slopes of the Himalayan Mountains. The gardens are located at an altitude of 8,000 feet and produce the most exquisite types of tea in the world. Generally, Darjeeling teas are intensely aromatic, flavorful with a characteristic muscat flavor note.

 

Risheehat Black(B)

It is finely rolled leaves are the product of an outstanding harvest. The Champagne of tea, very sweet and aromatic, enticingly floral and honey aromas. Grown at the second flush estates encompassing 388 acres between 980 and 2050 meters of elevation.

 

Castleton Black(B)

From one of the world's most famous tea estates, this tea, typical of a first flush has a subtle astringency and a muscatel-like bouquet. Distinctive woody body and intense aroma.

 

Goomtee SF Black(A)

A fabulous first flush Darjeeling. The aroma reminds one of spring.

 

Green Darjeeling

 

Chamling Green(B)

Beautiful afternoon tea with a pure, delicate and silky feeling. Golden orange in color. Extremely relaxing and uplifting. Nutty, sweet and smooth in flavor.

 

North Tukvar Green(B)

This ISO 9002 certified garden lies at an elevation of 1,500 ˆ 2,800 feet and falls under a rain shadow. The tea bushes are of Assam hybrid, China hybrid and Darjeeling are cloned to meet the agro-climate conditions of the area. This is the first of its kind. Caramel golden color, refreshing and full of surprising after tastes. Fruity and tart!

 

Assam

The largest tea producing region in the world, located in northeastern India. Assam is a common component of high-quality blends. This tea is typical of what we call the British taste.

 

Khongea Green(B)

Premium tea from Assam, the largest tea growing area in the world. A distinct, but gentle and delicate aroma. Malty, spicy and of medium strength.

 

Green Japan Bancha (A)

Bancha is the most common tea in Japan. Large mature tea leaves are used for this tea. It is manufactured using an automated process in picking, steaming and drying. Bancha is a great tea with a nice aroma, pleasant taste and a sweet aftertaste.

 

Genmaicha Green(B)

A mixture of Bancha, popped rice and toasted hulled rice kernels. Its unique flavor makes it an interesting and unusual beverage. Very good on ice. Pale yellow liquor that is strong and has a high astringency because of its freshness and sweet at the same time.

Rooibos Teas (B) (C)

Rooibos is a natural herb unique to the South African Cedarburg Mountains. Pure mineral water, fresh mountain air and the hot African sun induces the change from vibrant green to the mahogany red of Rooibos teas. Naturally caffeine free and low in tannin. A great antioxidant, this tea also helps relieve insomnia, nervous tension, indigestion and allergy symptoms.

Recent research also shows that it contains the highest known levels of anti-aging properties of any plant on earth. Here are some flavors Coconut, caramel, vanilla, apple, tangerine, cactus flower.

 

Nana Mint(B)

Fresh African mint tea. Exceptional quality and taste. The best of all mint.

 

Green/Black Flavored Blends (B)

Green and Black tea flavored blends are consistently made from Chinese Black tea and Green Ceylon. The flavors are endless and are based on our imagination. Please ask our dedicated Baristas for the flavors available. Some example: Pina Colada, Party of the Jungle and Midnight Blend. These blends are just amazingly engineered. Mixtures of fruits, flower petals and natural flavoring. Great for iced tea!

Decaffeinated Teas

The CO2 high pressure decaffeinating method is the most modern of the technologies existing today. It is a cycling process wherein the caffeine is selectively removed from the extract product.

 

Decaf Earl Grey(A)

Excellent traditional English tea. Very relaxing infused Cambridge style.

 

Decaf China Sencha(A)

This typical bergamot flavor with a hint of lime creates a stunning taste sensation.
Decaffeinated green tea, orange and lemon peels, natural flavoring.

 

Vanilla Cream Decaf Black(A)

Black Chinese tea naturally flavored with vanilla beans.

 

Decaf Orange Black Tea(A)
